I was just going to post this on danerys LJ but I figured since there were so many pretty pictures I'd just put it on mine. Been messing around as a noob again in Lineage II when I either have been frustrated with FFXI or procrastinating about writing my thesis.

A couple people had talked to me about it and the game was $20 to download so I figured what the hell. I AM A NOOB AGAIN.

This game is beautiful.. seriously beautiful. I really love the aestheic of it. It's a nice blend of fantasy and "reality" in terms of looks. It has far more detail than FFXI and it's not cartoony like WoW.

As far as game mechanics goes it seems to be a cross between FFXI and WoW. You have side panels with shortcuts for spells which correspond to F1-F12 on the keyboard. You can write macros. I haven't written any yet because with my limited number of spells well.. I just don't need it yet though a friend who played the game for a year and a half said they are necessary at higher levels. I've done most of it solo. I hear that you can solo to maximum level (78 I think) but that it's not easy.

So, I've been messing around with 2 characters, a Dark Elf Fighter (Malima) and an Elf Mystic (Sylphet of course) - both on Hindemith server. Neither has completed their first class change yet (level 20) but I'm really just having fun messing around at this point. I'll decide sooner or later what I want them to be.

Yes, after almost a year of being asked to put together some sort of WHM update for my live journal I’ve actually gotten the motivation to do it. This is, simply put, a guide to how I play White Mage. It’s not the only way to do it but for my play style I find it to be very effective. I’ve tried to incorporate the elements that I have been most commonly asked about regarding WHM. Hope it’s what people were looking for!

I was recently voted for to get linkshell support for a relic upgrade. Even though my main job has always been WHM, I felt very strongly that Gjallarhorn was by far a better relic to upgrade. After having Gjallarhorn for a week I have a feeling that I will be going to events on any other job less and less. So without further adieu.. the first Gjallarhorn on Seraph.


For those of you who don't know, it really is +2 to all songs (even those wierd ones like Capriccio) and the Ballad is broken down as such:
Ballad = 3 MP/tick
BalladII = 4 MP/tick

It's really pretty amazing how easy this makes things. Simply put, it almost eliminates MP being a limiting factor in anything. In a pinch, Soul Voice ballads provide an extremely speedy recovery.

Today was the first time I got to try it out on a HNM. We claimed Tiamat. I decided to try out the entire fight in a single gear set. I was the only BRD and kept Elegy and Lightning Threnody on full time for the entire fight and handled all of the dispels of Blaze Spikes. I did not log.
Resists for the entire fight:
Elegy: 5 times
Finale: 0 times
Threnody: 6 times
This is a really dramatic change in resists from previous Tiamats on BRD. This was only -11 enmity for the entire fight but I'll attribute a huge credit to me not pulling hate at all and not having to log to our tanks :) (Ice Kei and Gil for this fight).


I have to sincerely thank my entire linkshell, Beyond the Limitation and the members of our dynamis shell lolDynamis both for chosing me to be upgraded and for busting their asses 2x a week to make this and all our other relics possible. Thanks also goes to Maigons shell members for exchanging currency with us and to Ponskun for lending us the 30 jadeshells for the final upgrade. Thank you all! :D

I've been a 75 BRD doing dynamis for... a long time now. For various reasons I have never gotten BRD AF2 pants from Xarcabard. I honestly had given up on ever getting them and even changed my first AF lotting choice to BLM. A pair finally dropped today and Icien and Alaris both had BRD listed first and both of them passed them and told me to lot them. So, thank you sincerely both of you. It's been one insane week for BRD.. getting voted for and starting the relic upgrade process, got the Apollyon limbus mat I've been waiting for months for to upgrade AF pants and now this. At the risk of sounding REALLY corny it's kind of overwhelming and I'm really grateful to everyone in BtL and to Lari and Ici in particular for today.

Yesterday a member of my Salvage team completed our first piece of gear!
